we all see the same sun

"Don't forget that some of us watch the sunset too"-Ponyboy The Outsiders
We're all different. Whether its race, religion or anything else no matter what we all see the same sunset. We are all living in this world together even if there is hatred between some people. This quote shows that we all see the same sun.
Ponyboy is in a tough greaser gang and they have a rival gang called the socs. The socs are much richer and smarter than the greasers. I think its the struggle of his home because his parents died in a car crash and his older brother is very hard on him. Him and 2 members of his gang find two soc girls at the movie theater and as they're driving them home the actual soc gang comes along and the girls are forced to leave Ponyboy says this to one of the girls.
Ponyboy is saying that even thought the socs may have it better and they're different in a lot of ways, there is always one similarity people have in common. We all look at the same sun.
This connects to me because when I ever meet a new person I always try and find to find the similarity between me and them and not the differences. I think this is how the people of the world should see each other.

looking for a new fit

Have you ever outgrown something? In Looking for Alaska by John Green, Miles feels that he's outgrown his school, he wants to go somewhere new. So he goes to a new boarding school looking for something new. But I think secretly he just can't find where to fit in. It's like trying on new clothes. He just can't find anything in his size.
Miles didn't have a lot of friends in his old school. I think he couldn't really find his own group of friends so he wanted to go to a new school so he could find somewhere to belong. Miles doesn't have a big social group may never will but he wants to find new friends and new adventures. Also he has a love of biographies of famous people. I think that symbolizes that he seems to connect to people in books rather than people in real life.
I think the author is trying to say that we have all have own different friends that we can connect with. That we all now our limitations friend wise and that sometimes we need to step out of the boundaries, thats what making new friends is. Stepping out of out friend boundaries.
I feel this is kind of like Happy face in which happy face wanted to start over and just completely make a new life for himself. Except miles just wants to meet to people. He wants to out grow his old clothes and try on some new ones. Some might be too big but, hey, we all grow into big clothes don't we?

The Langue of the New Love

In the modern version of Romeo and Juliet the director Baz Luhrmann decided to keep the original dialouge. I think thats clever. But I had and i'm sure some other people had some problems understanding it. But I think the directors  purposely put in visuals so that people could understand what they were talking about. I think this is excellent way of making the audience get it.
Though in the play movie and pretty much every other version of it the dialogue is beautiful and always amazes me. I think the way he uses descriptive langue keeps the audience interested. Shakespeare's use of langue as of other play writers is a very useful tool in his plays. But Shakespeare doesn't just use, he takes full advantage of it.
I think Shakespear was a brilliant and amazing writer and I hope that I have a chance to read more of him later on. Maybe i'll even learn to write like he does.

should we be more chill?

I just recently finished the book Be More Chill by Ned Vizzini. Before I start I just want to say that this book is really good. Jeremy the main character is in a bad social class in his school. so he gets a super powered computer called a Squip. this computer tells him what he needs to do to be cool. But I think this book makes a statement. That a person has to have a supercomputer installed in his brain to have people notice him.
I think as long you like the life you live you don't need to be cool or interesting. you should just be yourself people who hate will hate and people ho want to be your friends will be your friends there is no need for a supercomputer or money or anything to make yourself seem better in anyway. People should just be themselves.
Its a constant strive for attention in life and people don't need to rush all the time to be there first or be the strongest or faster. They should just slow down. Thats why everyone should be unique so that there are no classes. everybody sees life differently, but not everybody expresses it like that.

The Writing of Three Authors

One blog I really like is http://shadman1212.blogspot.com/2011/01/poem-responseidentity-crisis.html#comments  in it the author Shadman Maksood connects you very well to the blog. He explains his the work that he is blogging about and always seems to get me interested into whatever he's talking about whatever genre even if I don't like the type. When ever I read his blogs not only does he leave me thinking but from the very first sentence my mind is racing around his words and great writing. Also, no matter how many angles around the subject I can think about it he always comes at it with a new perspective. Shadman is a great blogger.
Another blog I think is done really well is http://mmpcorparation.blogspot.com/2010/12/care.html this is by Malik Padellan, in his blog he presents more than one way of thinking which is really thought provoking. usually when i'm reading a post there's only one question but Malik has multiple questions that don't completely have to do with each other but connect to the subject. He has great elaboration technique  and overall is one of my favorite bloggers.
http://gfffffhr.blogspot.com/2011/01/poetry-response-stopping-by-woods-on.html this is Kenneth Yueng's blog, i like Kenneth's blogs because he's very forthright. i like loose writing and a lot of people don't like straight forward thinking but Kenneth does a really good job at it. i like his way of thinking and the elaboration he does on his work is excellent. he always says what he learned from the literature he had read. all in all i think Kenneth has amazing posts and i'm always exited to read the next one.

the shriek

The shriek pierces my ears. Eyes darting body shaking. The summer afternoon by the river. As turn to see the producer of the shriek I notice the river as it bends a twists into his robe. Is it just me?Am I the only one who notices it? The people all around, they're oblivious. The giant metal fish the long wooden snake I'm standing on they mind their business. He just stands there in amazement. What is he looking at? Nothing is there. Then I realize hes looking at me.

The Road Less Taken

In the poem the road less taken really speaks to me. it was written in 1915 but i feel like i can still relate to it. Robert frost is saying that even though the road easier and more comfortable he still takes the road lees taken. I think this applies to any fork in the road situation.
there can be some pretty big decisions in life and if we take the road less taken then the outcome might be better. theres always going to be a negative and a positive side to life, i think Robert frost was trying to say that, at the end of the road less taken you never find out what the path led to, it could of been good or bad.
when we find fork in the road we must decide. humanity will never change that, sometimes we have to rebuild the road sometimes we have to get around obstacles but we will always have to choose one way.

Compairison

I just today finished the book Teenage angst? naaaah by Ned Vizzini. Its a really amazing book. Its his auto-biography and he thinks the same way I think. I really didnt expect that.it made me think, how many more people think like that? like me? Do people around the world think like that?
He talks about different things I think about all the time. Like the newest gaming system, the pressures of getting into a high school and getting into a good college. I think when im older im going to look back to this ad i'll probably think in the same way that Ned did. Hes kind of like a role model towards me. But what im trying to say is that people have pretty similar trains of thought. If every body shared their train of thought the world would probably be a better place.
I think sometimes we have to share are ideas instead of keeping them bottled up. In this book he really expressed himself and in ways I completely agreed with. Maybe just maybe if we all expressed ourselves-if we all showed that crazy side of us sometimes the world would be more fun and not so dangerous.
