The Giver

I love this book. The giver is an emotional roller coaster. Even and especially the characters are amazing. I think its a great plot twist when he was given the job of receiver. 

I think the when Jonas is faced with the daily sharing of feelings it’s a metaphor for the whole book because the family doesn't know the truth behind the emotions. When Jonas becomes the receiver he finds the physicality of pain, the warmth of happiness and the coldness of sadness. 

Also a factor I love is the community. Its so perfect yet so imperfect. I would never want to live there. It would be horrible. But the people seem to like it.
